The Seeker desires a methods or technologies that will advance any one or more of the following issues in studies of contact active insecticides: 1. Measuring internal dose; 2. Measuring uptake; 3. Measuring clearance.
This is an Ideation Challenge with a guaranteed award for at least one submitted solution.
The Seeker is searching for a method to determine the pharmacokinetics of insecticide uptake and clearance for mosquitos and flies exposed to contact active insecticidal compounds. An ideal solution would address three areas of interest: How much insecticide is picked up and is present on the outside of the insect? How much of the insecticide gets inside of the insect? How quickly is the insecticide cleared by the insect? Solutions that address only one or two of these areas are also of interest. Solutions may include experimental methods or computational/theoretical modeling, or a combination of the two.

After the Challenge deadline, the Seeker will complete the review process and make a decision with regards to the Winning Solution(s). All Solvers that submitted a proposal will be notified on the status of their submissions; however, no detailed evaluation of individual submissions will be provided.
What is an InnoCentive Ideation™ Challenge?
An InnoCentive Ideation™ Challenge is a broad question formulated to obtain access to new ideas, similar to a global brainstorm for producing a breakthrough idea or market survey which may include ideas for a new product line, a new commercial application for a current product, or even a viral marketing idea to recruit new customers.
