Adeno-associated virus (AAV) is a non-enveloped virus that infects humans with no known pathogenicity. With the ability to infect both dividing and non-dividing cells, AAVs are being studied as promising vehicles for targeted gene therapy. Therefore, AstraZeneca desires innovative approaches to improve not only the targeting, but also the transduction efficiency of AAV vectors.

AstraZeneca Challenge: Molecular Strategies to Minimize Off-Target Toxicities of Antibody Drug Conjugates
An antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) is comprised of an antibody connected to a cytotoxic agent with a linker. ADCs are designed to selectively target tumors via binding to specific markers found on the cell surface. Although many ADCs are in clinical development, only a few are FDA approved. To improve the efficacy of ADCs in the treatment of cancer, the Seeker is looking for innovative molecular strategies to minimizing off-target toxicities of ADCs.
This is an Ideation Challenge with a guaranteed award for at least one submitted solution.
Methods for Determining Similar Sequences Across Genomes
Individuals of a species differ from one another at the genetic level to various degrees. These differences represent different genotypes, or genetic constitutions, within a species. To better understand the genetic content of each individual genome, it is important to understand similarities and differences of gene sequences and their sub-components when compared across genomes. Therefore, the Seeker is looking for a methodology to accurately identify similar gene sequences across genomes from individuals of a single species.
This is a Reduction-to-Practice Challenge that requires written documentation and output from the data analysis algorithm, and submission of source code and executable if requested by the Seeker.
Porsche Challenge: Autonomous Transport of Assembled Sports Cars within Production
Porsche, the Seeker for this Challenge, is looking for novel ideas and concepts for a system to autonomously transport assembled vehicles, including sports cars with low ground clearance, between operating sites within a factory. Solutions must take the operating environment factors into consideration such as surfaces, ramps, path width/curve radii, outdoor usage, etc.
Mixing Highly Viscous Materials
This Challenge is looking for equipment and methods to mix materials of high viscosity over a large viscosity range. More details will be provided in the Detailed Description.

Fonterra Challenge: Optimal Biogas Utilisation
Biogas is a renewable fuel produced during the decomposition of organic waste. Fonterra recently opened a state-of-the-art cream cheese plant located in Darfield, New Zealand. With the addition of a biodigester, the plant will generate a large quantity of biogas. Therefore, Fonterra is searching for innovative approaches to harness biogas and create a cost-effective energy source.
Architectural and Engineering Design & General Contracting Partner
The Seeker is looking for a General Contractor who shall be responsible for the architectural and engineering designing, permitting, deconstruction, remediation, and construction of a 100 person office facility. The existing facility will be retrofitted to be a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) and meet ICD 705.

Corteva AgriscienceTM is seeking pure natural products and semi-synthetic natural products for pest control. Material supply of compounds which are natural products or natural-product derived small molecules is desired. Crude extracts and mixtures are not requested for this Challenge.
Intellectual Property: In return for the Initial Transfer Fee of USD $150 per compound (see further details of the Challenge), you are expected to grant the Seeker only a non-exclusive license to test your compound(s) in their in-house assays and/or use the compound(s) to prepare other compounds for in-house testing.
