Challenge overview

OVERVIEW

Wazoku is searching for functional prototypes of innovative, agentic onboarding experience models. AI experts and coders from around the world are invited to participate in the Agentic AI Coding Challenge.

You’ll be asked to develop a self-guided, agentic onboarding experience. The goal is to guide users through the full setup process for launching an innovation Challenge – step-by-step, smartly, and interactively. Then, share the model with us – including technical documentation, code repositories, and a short video explainer – for a shot at the $1,000 first place prize. Additionally, up to four runners-up could be awarded $500 each.

Your model, code, and documentation will remain entirely yours – we’re interested in identifying leading lights in the model development, AI coding, and engineering space!

Winners and other outstanding candidates may also be selected for further work with Wazoku, building agentic AI models that lead the future of innovation!

By taking part in and submitting to this Prize Challenge you are granting Wazoku the right to evaluate (but not own) your submitted information.

This Challenge requires a written proposal and relevant code/technical documentation to be submitted, and the $3,000 award pool will be available subject to quality, with breakdown of prizes subject to evaluator rankings. There is no assignment of IP Rights with this challenge.

Submissions to this Challenge must be received by 11:59 PM (US Eastern Time) on May 26th, 2025.

Please review the later Participation Guidance section before submitting a proposal.

ABOUT THE SEEKER & ELIGIBILITY

THE CHALLENGE

Develop an innovative AI agent, that effectively and clearly uses its model to assist with the onboarding experience to run an innovation Challenge.

Start from a user first coming to the platform with an idea, a problem statement, or something they need to solve. End with the user monitoring the active Challenge that they have launched.

What You’ll Build:

A web-based app with an interactive agentic experience that:

  • Walks users through all core challenge setup steps
  • Feels like a helpful, intelligent subject matter expert who knows the ins and outs of working with crowd platforms and crowdsourcing challenges
  • Adapts based on input and context
  • Embeds best practices from platforms like Wazoku, Topcoder, Kaggle, and other innovation sites

Required Scope:

You must implement a user flow that covers at least the following configuration categories. We encourage you to expand on these initial ideas and add additional valuable features and steps based on your own ideas. You may combine or reshape the categories to provide the best experience.

1. Intake

  • Capture and define the problem statement
  • Capture and define goals
  • Choose challenge type (e.g. Ideation, Design, Development, Data Science)

2. Registration/Audience Requirements

  • Select audience and participant type (geographic constraints, spoken languages, teams allowed, etc.)
  • Indicate whether forums or question boards are enabled

3. Submission Requirements

  • Required format for the submission (zip file, git repo, etc.)
  • Documentation and assets required (demo video, readme, etc.)

4. Prize Configuration

  • Set up prize structure (single winner, tiered, milestones)
  • Provide logic or guidance for estimating appropriate prize amounts

5. Timeline Configuration

  • Set start and end dates for challenge
  • Define intermediate milestones if applicable (registration, submission, milestones, review, etc)

6. Review & Evaluation

  • Choose evaluation model: rolling or post-submission
  • Define reviewer roles and criteria
  • Be sure to accommodate the reviewer/evaluator persona
  • Allow configuration of rubrics or scoring logic, selection of peer review, automated AI review, etc.

7. Monitoring

  • Show how announcements and updates will be handled

Technical Requirements

  • For reference, Wazoku works in Angular
  • AI Models: you may use any openly-available model or combination of models.
  • Process: in your output, you must display efficient AI agent usage, clearly communicate AI capabilities and limitations, and ensure that privacy requirements and ethical AI guidelines are followed at all times.

SOLUTION REQUIREMENTS

Wazoku is primarily interested in solutions with the potential to meet the following requirements:

Must have:

  1. Agentic AI model for onboarding experience and clear use case, with well-defined tasks and outcomes per The Challenge section.
    1. The model must comply with ethical use guidelines and data privacy regulations.
  2. Relevant documentation, including: code repository, instructions for set-up and execution, and any technical documents.
  3. Video Showcase – demo video, 5 mins max, showcasing the AI onboarding agent in action. We recommend using www.loom.com for screen share and recording, and appending the link to your submission.

Nice-to-have:

  1. Details about you, your expertise in building similar projects, and your interest in further opportunities within Agentic AI.
