Challenge overview

The Cleveland Clinic is in the process of developing an invasive biosensor device that will be used for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes.  This device will be developed with the use of novel nanotechnology, and the goal is to improve patient safety and procedural reliability.

This is an electronic Request for partners (eRFP) Challenge; The Solver will need to submit a written proposal to be evaluated by the Cleveland Clinic with the goal of establishing a collaborative partnership.

The Cleveland Clinic is in the process of developing an invasive biosensor device that will be used for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes.  This device will be developed with the use of novel nanotechnology, and the goal is to improve patient safety and procedural reliability.  Our intention is to provide ways for clinicians and medical technicians to accomplish their regularly performed procedures with better safety outcomes, with more reliable clinical results, and with the ability to improve efficiency over the course of time.  This new device is expected to be both unique, and a remarkable improvement over the current approaches to a number of diagnostic maneuvers.

We are seeking a collaborative partnership that will combine our biosensor design and foundation resources with a company that will provide biotechnical engineering, computer hardware and software design services, nanotechnology production resources, and funding sources for the development of our device.

This is an electronic Request-for-Partners (eRFP) Challenge.  The Solver will write a preliminary proposal (and supporting non-confidential information including contact details).  This information will be evaluated by the Cleveland Clinic with the goal of establishing a partnership.  Upon completion of the evaluation, the Cleveland Clinic may directly contact select solvers to work out terms for a collaboration contract.  The monetary value of the contract will vary depending on the amount of the work delivered, and the agreed upon time frame.

(Note:  The Cleveland Clinic reserves the right to accept for consideration only those Proposals submitted by Solvers who can share non-confidential information.)
