More details are available once you register as an InnoCentive Solver.
The Seeker is looking for a comprehensive analysis of available data on the prevalence of seizures in patients with schizophrenia as well as the incidence of new seizures in patients taking anti-psychotic medication. The submission to the challenge should include:

  1. A comprehensive report on the prevalence/incidence of seizures in patients with schizophrenia as compared to the normal population and its dependence on demographics, medical history, treatment with anti-psychotic medications and/or environmental factors.
  2. Novel or comprehensive approaches to address the problem including, but not limited to meta-analysis of the published literature or data mining/modeling/simulation based on published data or access to a large patient database(s).

The challenge award is contingent upon evaluation of the submitted proposals by the Seeker. The Seeker is not looking for a simple review of available literature. The submitted research reports should provide the Seeker with "freedom to publish or use the information," i.e. there should be no copyrights, proprietary limitations, patents or patent applications which would prevent the use of the research report for commercial drug development or marketing of a product.

Multiple awards for this challenge may be issued. Also, the most interesting solutions may be offered by the Seeker to publish a collaborative paper in a prominent medical journal.
